Pictures of my Motorcycles
Right now I have about 7 mostly complete motorcycles (and a bunch of parts):
1993 BMW R100RS
This is my main ride...a few years ago I was going to get a new motorcycle but then I thought "what for? This ones still good!"
Kawasaki H2 750's
I have a number of these... . I wanted one of these real bad when I was in high school... Finally decided to get one and restore it... This is what the first one I got looked like when I bought it.
(Actually this picture makes it look good, It's kind of rough) About all I've done to it so far is get rid of the goofy sissy bar and I'm still gathering the parts needed to fix if up nice. However, Since I started on it I have bought and sold a bunch of other H2's and I right now I have another '74 similar to this one (but in much better condition), a '72 with pipes (expansion chambers) and probably enough parts to put together a couple more... If you need some H2 stuff, ask. If I can't help you out I probably know someone who can.
This '72 is apart right now getting so I can paint the frame tank etc..
Here are pictures of it in March of 2005:
In September of 2005 I was this far along... (it's a roller)
And here is the other '74 H2...Like I said it's in nice condition... It's the one I've been riding lately.
Since these pictures were taken, I've taken the goofy looking sticker off of the rear tail cone...added the rear grab rail and turn signals
I was at Daytona Bike week this year (2006) and had a problem. It started jumping out of 1st gear, I took the engine apart and found these parts were bad.
It's Back together now and looks like this:
The "Kawumph"
This is a Triumph T140 (750) motor in an '83 Kawasaki Ninja Frame.... No I didn't build it, I bought it from a friend who had bought it from Baxter cycles (A Triumph specialist). I haven't ridden it much this summer cause it's leaking oil from the primary cover (What can I say, It's a Triumph) but I plan to fix that this fall
1973 Honda CL100
A lot of riders my age had one of these as their first motorcycle. This one is in very good condition (I've fixed it up some since this picture) and I ride it at least once a month just to keep it up...
The tank has a small dent in the left front side...I am looking for a NOS tank for it (yea right, like I'm really gonna find one of those) ...If you know of let me know
1977 Yamaha XS750D
I've had this one for years. When I was in high school I rode motorcycles all the time. After high school I worked in a motorcycle shop (Kawasaki of Tampa)... Then in about 1978 or 1979 I stopped riding completely. I didn't ride motorcycles for about 8 or 9 years. This was my father-in-law's bike, he bought it new and kept it for a while. Sometime in the mid 1980's and he was having trouble with it and I fixed it for him... Later he got a Gold Wing and gave this to me... That's how I got back into riding.
I haven't got a picture of it to put up here...yet.
75 Moto Guzzi Intercepter 850 T
Otherwise known as the "Guzzi in a box" or "Instant Guzzi, just add labor" Anyway last fall I was at a swap meet and I must have had a case of temporary insanity ... For some reason I traded a for a dis-assembled Moto Guzzi... The previous owner had taken it apart and was going to restore it...He had a number of the parts re-chromed or painted...and had bought a number of new parts. But there were a few parts still missing and he gave up on the project....
If someone had offered me enough to cover what I had in it, they probably could have bough it but since then I've done some work on it, and gathered some more pieces and I plan to put it together and maybe even ride it a little.
Here are some pictures of it when I got it:
As I said, I've gathered some more of the parts and done some work
k on it but right now it still looks like this:
I have been working on it some however I recently ran into a problem. I have the spokes and hubs cleaned up and ready to be re-laced but I have a problem with the rims. I had them polished (should have done it myself) and then had them clear anodized...Here is what they look like now.
Not too bad until you look close, This is one of the spoke holes
Unfortunately that didn't notice it until after I had it anodized....On top of that, the guy doing the anodize said I was out of luck about the blemishes in the finish of the anodize... they were barely noticeable when I first got the rims back.
I have some spare parts that fit :
Kawasaki H2 750
Honda CL/CB/SL/100/125
Currently I am reconditioning the Ignition Boxes for the '72 H2. Here is what they looked like when I removed them :
Here is what they looked like now:
Working on my '72 H2 I found this problem with the motor mount holes
Had them welded up and re-drilled the holes... now they look like this
I picked this up a couple months back but sold it to a friend ....
And I have another friend who is building a Maico Triple... three 500's (1500cc !!) This frame is just to show it off the motor at VMD... I think he plans to put it in a land speed bike..
I recently picked up this jewel....
No title so it'll probably get parted out...One reason for posting these pictures is so guys from the Kawasaki triple community can look at them in case someone is interested
I also have this stuff for sale
The distance from the inside of the brake rotor to the inside of the sprocket is 5 7/8" (in other words the sprocket centerline would be right at 3 inches from the centerline of the wheel) I'll sell the whole kit Hub, brake disk, caliper, a sprocket, spacer for between the wheel bearings and mounting hardware for $150... you'll have to supply wheel bearings, the rim, the spokes (Available from Buchanan Spoke and rim http://www.buchananspokes.com), a master cylinder and any other spacers needed. Note that this is do-it-yourself kit and I give no guarantees as to how it will work in your application..
I also have these parts for making a front brake setup...
